Edegewood! What a transformation, this area has seen recently. Located just 3 short miles of the bustle of downtown Atlanta. Alpharetta Autobahn
Highway Ga-400 runs from the foothills of north Ga all the way into Buckhead. Most used by residents of Alpharetta , Roswell, and Cumming. This stretch of road is often referred to as "Alpharetta Autobahn
The Big Chicken
It really is just that, a big chicken. This 56 foot steel structure stands proud as a local landmark at the corner of Highway 120 & US 41. Constructed in the 1960's as a sign for Johhny Rebs restaurant, it now represents the home of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Buckhead
Just north of the Mid-town/Downtown are Buckhead is home to the Governors Mansion and Atlanta History Center. Buckhead stands out as one of Atlanta's most affluent neighborhoods and offers exceptional dining and shopping.
The Hooch
The river also know as The Chattachoochee begins on the southern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains and runs through Georgia. Upon making it's way the river provides water and electicity for most of North Ga.
The Highlands
Virgina Highlands is a classic Atlanta intown neighborhood, home to outstanding architechture. The area is popular with the many urban professionals who are proud to call "Highlands" home. And offers tons of trendy shops and places to socialize.
I-285 / Perimeter
This stretch of Interstate is a 60-mile oval beltway commonly used to by-pass the city. And is commonly used to detail ones location.
ITP / OTP
"Inside the Perimeter"(ITP), "Outside the Perimeter" (OTP). As noted above the beltway I-285 makes the distinction to where one might be.
Little Five Points
Little Five is a diverse neighborhood one has to check out. Located at the intersection of Moreland, Euclid and McLendon and consist of trendy one of kind shops and restaurants. Very popular with local artist and musicians. Take a day and stroll the shops and take in a one of a kind expirence.
Midtown
Most know for classic intown neighborhoods popular with diverse young professionals, the area is home to Piedmont Park, the Botanical Gardens and Woodruff Arts Center. Midtown is just north of Downtown.
Spaghetti Junction
Ever come to the intersection of I-285/I-85 and you'll know when you found Spaghetti Junction. This intersection twist, turns, and loops its way over the interstate creating a roller coaster for automobiles.
Sweet Aurburn
Sweet Aurburn is a historic district in Downtown which pays tribute to Atlanta's Black Americans. Home of the Sweet Aurburn Market and several other businesses and organization's rich in Black History.
Underground Atlanta
It really is underground, located in and below downtown. Underground is a unique retail complex made up of shops and eateries located below the cities streets.
The Varsity
This fast food restaurant was originally established in 1928. And yet still today is home to some of the best hotdogs, hamburgers and fries the city has to offer.
